You may have guessed by the title that this gorgeous girl (I'm not biased at all) is my daughter. I painted this in Photoshop from a photo I took of her on her swing in our backyard. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It's almost photorealistic but just painterly enough. I'm usually not really into photorealistic painting. I always think; why not just take a photo? I could have it printed before you've even finished setting up the canvas! Unless of course your painting something that doesn't exist for example and so you can't photograph it. Otherwise, if it's a painting, it should look like a painting. The same goes for vector art I think...but i'm rambling now so i'll stop.
