This was my entry into the Adelaide Fringe poster competition this year (2009). Unfortunately it wasn't even picked for the top twenty. Looking at it now, I still love it as a poster but I don't think it's the sort of thing the Fringe are looking for.

The Fringe occurs in March and is often referred to as Mad March because there's so much going on with festivals and events and then the city goes dead for 8 months or so. I might be exaggerating a little there! This year was the return of the Fringe Parade. A precession through the city that marks the beginning of the festival.

So anyway this is the Mad March Hare leading a parade of candy letters into Adelaide. The hare is a well-loved (like the Fringe) teddy, hence why he's missing an eye. He's also holding a 'malls balls' sceptre!

Hi!! Great poster dude.

I submitted mine for the 2010 Fringe.
How did u know you were in the top 20? Do they update you on the judging process or something?

Thanks.

Thanks Mike!

If your poster is in the top twenty you will get a letter from the Fringe stating this. The top twenty get exhibited somewhere during the festival.

Good luck with your entry for this year.

Ryan
